Matt was a devoted husband, a new father, a dear son, a caring brother, a loyal friend and classmate, a talented pilot and a U.S. Marine. He and his crew made the ultimate sacrifice in an aviation accident in the KC-130R he was piloting in Southwest Pakistan on January 9th, 2002 during a mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. To learn more, read about Matt at the U.S. Naval Academy Virtual Memorial Hall or the Arlington National Cemetery websites.
While he left us far too soon, Matt will never be forgotten.
Commitment Coffee was created to honor Matt's legacy, and the thousands of service men and women who have died or been severely wounded in the service of our great nation.
For those no longer with us, their memory and their legacy lives on in the family they leave behind. Contributing to their children's and dependent's educational needs is a small, but important, way to express our gratitude and ongoing support for the sacrifice their families' have made and that they continue to live with every day.
For those who have been severely wounded, financial strain and diminished earnings potential are realities facing these wounded warriors and their families. Educational scholarships provide an important funding source to one of the largest expenses their families will face.
With your support, we are committed to donating 50% of ALL profits - with NO LIMIT - to fund educational scholarships for the children and dependents of fallen and severely wounded service men and women.
